A knock at the door but no-one is there. A distraction, in fact, whilst intruders have crept in at the back and emptied storeroom upon storeroom of accumulated junk.. After the shock, and the indignation, I take a good look around. Very slowly I come to realise that this may be no bad thing…In fact, I begin to understand that it actually feels like a great blessing and relief! No more rubbish to get rid of myself! Just space, and freedom! A long walk back through empty sheds – yes, ‘’they’ have done me a favour – and the insurers agree! And so I walk upstairs. Another huge surprise. The house has been transformed and my mind can’t take it in. At the curve of the stairs, a beautiful dinner table set for two. A few steps further and I am greeted with the most beautifully decorated room I have ever seen. All is white and sparkling silver. An endless banqueting fades to infinity- all white linen, crystal and silver, and set for a feast.. Waiting to greet me are generations of familiar all waiting to greet me and celebrate together. I can’t believe that anyone would do all this for me!
