| As I painted this I was thinking of a plant coming up through the soil, or a fish’s eye view of the sun from the weedy river bed. I believe as people we are have been created to grow towards the light ie to develop and strive towards towards receiving and giving God’s love. Of course on our journey through life there are many distractions and negative forces which get in our way – and this is the subject of this painting. “The Light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not overcome it” John1:5
